Unfortunately, fourteen million people in the world are diagnosed with cancer each year. Many times this disease is inherited, while according to the American Cancer Institute, most of the time it is due to poor diet and highly processed foods that we consume. The strange thing is that most of them are probably in your kitchen right now!
Find out what they are and try to remove them as much as you can from your diet…
Processed meats
Meat "products", such as sausages and salami, are probably the most carcinogenic foods you can eat because of the chemical preservatives used by their manufacturers to make them look fresher, juicier and more attractive. In particular, nitrate and the sodium nitrate they contain increase the risk of many cancers, such as colon cancer.
Soft drinks
Not only are they particularly fattening due to the large amounts of sugar they contain, but the caramel color, which gives the characteristic color of many well-known soft drinks, and the 4-methylimidazole they contain have been shown to cause cancer.
Aspartame
Aspartame is one of the most well-known sweeteners, which is used in hot drinks as a substitute for sugar, but also in many diet products. You may think that by consuming it you "save" the calories of sugar and thus lose weight, but in reality you are doing more harm than good to your health. According to research by the European Food Safety Authority, aspartame and other sweeteners such as sucralose and saccharin have been linked to cancer. We do not know what you are saying but we prefer to put in our coffee a teaspoon of sugar with 20 calories, rather than a tablet of saccharin with 0 calories and risk it.
Fish farming salmon
According to Dr. David Carpenter, director of the Institute of Health and Environment at the University of Albany, said the salmon was deficient in vitamin D and was contaminated with carcinogenic chemicals, pesticides and antibiotics, making it highly carcinogenic.
Popcorn in the microwave
According to research, these popcorn bags are full of chemicals that cause not only infertility, but also cancer of the liver, testicles and pancreas. The US Environmental Protection Agency even recognizes the perfluorooctanoic acid contained in microwave popcorn as "possibly" carcinogenic, while other research has shown that this chemical causes the growth of cancerous tumors. At the same time, the chemical diacetyl they contain has been linked to lung damage and cancer.
Canned food
Canned food contains a chemical called BPA (bisphenol A), which has been shown to play an important role in infertility, heart disease and several other diseases. In fact, due to their acidity, canned tomatoes are considered the most dangerous as this red fruit absorbs this chemical more easily than other foods.
Hydrogenated oils (trans fats)
These oils are used to preserve processed foods and extend their shelf life. They can have a positive effect on the profitability of entrepreneurs in the food industry, but this does not apply to the health of consumers, as they have the ability to change the structure and flexibility of the cell membrane in all cells of the body, resulting in many diseases, such as cancer. That is why many food manufacturers have stopped using them and replaced them with palm oil, which is just as unhealthy, while its production is particularly harmful to the environment. However, you can still find hydrogenated oils in many food ingredient lists.
Corn fructose syrup
We bet that if you take a look at your breakfast cereal box you will see this particular syrup parade in one of the first places in the list of ingredients. You can also find it in many cookies, cakes, pastries, soft drinks, juices and sauces. Do not be fooled by the term "corn" and think that it is something healthy. This syrup is especially dangerous, as it is an ideal food for cancer cells and it would be good to avoid it as much as possible.
